Casual Senior Examinations Invigilator

Grade 6 Level 1 (£14.72 per hour)

We are seeking a professional, organised individual to join our examinations team as a Senior Invigilator from February 2026.

The role of exam invigilator is vital for overseeing and supervising examinations, ensuring compliance with Awarding Body and Joint Council of Qualifications (JCQ) regulations. Working under the guidance of the Exams Manager, you will play a key role in creating optimal physical conditions for candidates during exams and reinforcing adherence to examination guidelines.

The successful candidate will have a professional appearance, maintain composure under pressure, and have excellent communication skills. They should be confident with public speaking as the lead invigilator will be expected to speak to over 200 students in an exam hall.

The ability to work accurately with attention to detail is crucial, as is the flexibility to adapt to varying working hours. Previous experience in a school or similar establishment, along with prior exam invigilation experience, would be advantageous.
