Year 10 Work Experience

We’re excited to announce that Year 10 Work Experience will take place during the final week of the academic year, from Monday 13th to Friday 17th July 2026.

Work Experience was launched to parents and carers at the Year 10 Learn and Succeed Evening on Tuesday 30th September 2025, and was introduced to students in PSHE on Monday 6th October 2025.

For more information about the work experience process, please see the video below which summarises the information provided at the 2025 Learn & Succeed Evening and the Year 10 PSHE Work Experience Launch Lesson. A PDF of the slides can be found below the video:

Do you have a CV?

Having an up-to-date CV is essential - and could really help when students are looking for work experience. Students had the opportunity to create one during English lessons this year, and it should be saved on their OneDrive. If any student missed the lesson or would like to review their CV, they can download the lesson PDF and a CV template using the link below:

Making contact with employers:

Finding a placement often starts with a simple conversation. The template below is a useful way to contact employers by email or message. It helps you explain who you are and what you're looking for in a clear and professional way.

But don’t just rely on written messages. Speaking to people in person—whether it’s someone you know, a local business, or a shop you visit—can really help. It shows confidence, and sometimes a quick chat can lead to opportunities that wouldn’t come up otherwise.

Use the template to get started, and remember: a friendly conversation can go a long way.

How to upload your placement (Work Placement Preparation Form & Unifrog):

Work Placement Preparation Form

Once you have all the details completed on the above form, it needs adding to Unifrog. Students can log in using

Once all the details have been completed on the form above, they need to be added to Unifrog. Students can log in using their school email and the password they created when setting up their account. If the password is forgotten, it can be easily reset via their school email.

On Unifrog, students should click the grey 'Placement' button, then select 'Add a new placement' and enter the details from the form. If anyone finds this tricky, we’re happy to help in school.
